Lower Property Taxes Coming To Oshkosh Homeowners in 2026

The city of Oshkosh will receive $47 million in taxes for 2026, which means the average homeowner’s property taxes will decrease by $91.
These savings come from the city not filling all the empty positions and increasing revenue in other areas.
The extra money will go towards increasing the water quality by switching from chlorine to UV water filters. In addition to better quality water, the city plans to invest tens of millions into replacing the 100+ year old sewage system.
Although you won’t be able to see where the $47 million will be going physically, you will be able to taste it with better water and feel it with a lower property tax bill.
