Milwaukee to Green Bay Amtrak Bus CLOSED
The Amtrak bus that has connected Green Bay and Milwaukee for the past 6 years will come to an end. According to the DOT, an agreement could not be reached with the state of Wisconsin and Amtrak.
Due to the rising costs of Amtrak, primarily from equipment, maintenance, and inflation, Governor Tony Ever requested an additional $15 million in funding to sustain the bus service. His request was denied, and the bus service will come to an end, effective October 1, 2025.
Two daily buses from Milwaukee to Green Bay will continue to run through September 2025. Alternative private buses are available here.
