During a road trip along the scenic Door County shoreline, they found themselves asking, “How can we live here?” That’s when it hit them — Door County had just about everything, except great coffee. And so, the idea for Door County Coffee was born, with one simple goal: bring truly good coffee to the community.
The couple dove headfirst into learning everything they could about coffee. In 1993, with just two employees and a passion for quality, they roasted their very first batch. Today, the company has grown to over 65 employees, operates out of a 40,000-square-foot facility, and offers more than 100 varieties of coffee.
Each batch is still roasted right in Door County, at their facility in Carlsville — just minutes from Sturgeon Bay. Their dedication to craftsmanship and community has turned Door County Coffee into a beloved name, not just across Wisconsin but nationwide.
